Experience:
Must Graduate or Post-Graduate studies in Agriculture from recognized Universities.
Must Graduate or Post-Graduate studies in Agriculture from recognized Universities.
Substantial experience (Minimum 5 years) in implementing Value chain or marketing projects.
Considerable experience in planning, Strategic thinking, Analytical skills, and Influencing and negotiation skills with different stakeholders.
Result-driven personality.
Confidence and belief in sustainable social-economic development through strong cooperation between private sectors and NGOs.
Clear understanding of pro-poor value chain development engaging private sectors.
A strong commitment to gender equality and addressing other diversity perspectives; and direct experience in supporting women`s empowerment, and rights-based approaches to poverty alleviation.
Practical experience in developing M&E systems.
Sound understanding of qualitative and quantitative tools.
Computer skills in SPSS, MS Access, Excel, and PowerPoint packages are essential.
Good interpersonal skills and working in diverse teams.
Ability to train and mentor coworkers. Good speaking and writing skills in both Bangla and English.
Skills in participatory planning and monitoring of project activities with knowledge in using of different PRA tools and techniques.
Job Context:
Project Title: Strengthening livelihoods of poor farmers through Inclusive Value Chain Development (SLPFIVCD).
Project introduction: This project is to develop a strong value chain of poor people’s vegetables and other agro-products. The project will try to introduce nature-based solutions to protect the environment and biodiversity. The project will so empower vulnerable men and women considering the cast and creed, ethnicity etc.
Job Responsibilities:
To monitor project plans and related activities to assess progress and bring to the attention of the project implementation teams any deviations or shortfalls and develop a plan of action for corrective measures.
Summarize the program and related activity achievements and shortfalls through a management information system, make a comparative analysis, and relate these with objectives and goals.
Monitoring Officer will provide technical support to the Coordinator of this program and their team members to assess their work progress, achievements, and outputs of the program activities and resources utilized in the process.
Assist the team to develop plans in case of any deviations or shortfalls to take corrective measures.
Regularly visit and interact with Staff Team Members on the thematic areas of the project to know the actual situation of the field and provide necessary guidance for data collection and documentation.
Prepare all necessary reports according to the requirement for the log frame and theory of change described in the proposal.
Prepare user-friendly tools for data collection, data entry, and analysis and prepare Quantitative reports on a monthly basis and Qualitative reports on a quarterly/ six-monthly basis.
Design and implementation of the monitoring and evaluation system.
Technical support for Monitoring, Evaluation, and generation of narrative reports. Preparing case studies and developing tools for data collection, data entry analysis, and report preparation.
Understanding and experience in the area of livelihood, disaster risk reduction, and climate change adaptation.
