∎ At least 2 years of previous experiences in emergency settings, part of teams providing psychosocial services interventions in emergencies.
∎ At least 1 year of previous experiences in providing services to displaced populations, migrants, refugees or conflict affected populations
∎ Experience in providing psychosocial services at community level.
∎ Competencies:
∎ The incumbent is expected to demonstrate the following technical and behavioural competencies:

∎ Technical: a) Effectively applies knowledge of mental health and psychosocial issues in execution of responsibilities at appropriate level; b) Maintains confidentiality and discretion in appropriate areas of work c) Skilled at developing culturally relevant psychosocial interventions.
∎ Languages:
∎ Fluency in written and oral English is required.
∎ Knowledge of Rohingya and/or one of regional languages an advantage.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Support the provision of participatory, comprehensive, goal based and individualised support and guidance, as well as care planning through the joint development of a care plan that matches needs, resources, and goals to available assistance, support systems and mental health services, aimed at ensuring basic needs are met and to enter at the lowest possible mental health service and
∎ Support emergency case management to ensure safe and protection
∎ Support the needs of the host community in regard to MHPSS activities
∎ Facilitate age-appropriate group PSS sessions for different targeted groups
∎ Hold regular information sessions for targeted population and individual cases in close coordination with senior counsellor, MHPSS actors and protection team
∎ Facilitate safe and confidential referrals to other service providers
∎ Proven experience in case follow up in past settings.
∎ Ensure domiciliary follow ups and sessions in regular basis.
∎ Monitoring cases in regular basis, observing and evaluating treatments and responses weekly through focus group session; advocating for needed services.
∎ Previous experience with Kobo toolbox is an advantage
∎ Maintains beneficiaries’ records by reviewing case notes; logging events and progress.
∎ Knowledge of IASC guidelines, next to being capable of making suggestions on how to implement these guidelines into our activities
∎ Prepares weekly reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing treatment and results data and trends as per MHPSS tools.
∎ Scaling up the presence of MHPSS at health posts and community level
∎ Conducting group session, awareness sessions and guarantee mainstreaming of MHPSS into the health response
∎ Being capable of working on individual bases with minimum supervision
∎ Contribute in the process of training community focal points on mental health promotion, core concepts and safe referrals
∎ To perform and other duties as may be needed and agreed with the Senior Counsellor and MHPSS Project Officer.
∎ Employment Status: Contractual (until October 25, 2025) as a replacement for staff on maternity leave.
