  • At least 1- 2 years’ experience in a relevant field

  • Preference will be given to those working in Rohingya camps settings

  • Excellent facilitation and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently within a Team

  • Ability to work under specific deadline

  • Persons with disabilities and Gender sensitive

  • Familiar with humanitarian principles

  • builds and maintains effective relationships, with their team, colleagues, Members and external partners and supporters

  • Having Knowledge about Humanitarian Response

  • Clear Understanding about MHPSS

  • Approachable, good listener, easy to talk to the beneficiaries

  • Be able to prioritize tasks

  • Good written & spoken communication in English and Bengali.

  • Local community language (Chittagonian) languages is a plus

  • Excellent in time management and ability to take on multi-tasks.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team.

  • Ability to prepare activities report (weekly, monthly and quarterly)

  • Computer Knowledge and basic skill for data entry

  • Assist programme intervention in the camp level according to the project work plan

  • Basic skill on communicating by email and data entry.



Responsibilities & Context:

 Job Description:

  • Work with Host Communities people and Rohinga Camps through mobile vans and HBR (individuals, groups and communities) to improve mental health

  • Encourage Host Communities people to discuss emotions and experiences

  • Examine issues including substance abuse, aging, bullying, anger management, careers, depression, relationships, LGBTQ issues, self-image, stress and suicide.

  • Help Host Communities people define goals, plan action and gain insight

  • Refer Client to psychologists and other services

  • Take a holistic (mind and body) approach to mental health care

  • Documentation of client files and other related information about service delivery.

  • You will also perform additional work according to the projects need and as being assigned by the CDD authority.

Safeguarding Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to CDD's Children and Adults at Risk Safeguarding policy, ensuring the safety and well-being of all project participants.

  • Promote a safe and secure environment for all participants and stakeholders of the project.

  • Report any safeguarding concerns promptly and follow the designated reporting procedures.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Perform any other responsibility/ special duty delegated by project and CDD management.

Job Context:

  • The Centre for Disability in Development (CDD) is a not for profit organization established in 1996 to develop a more inclusive society for persons with disabilities. CDD simultaneously builds technical capacities of the development stakeholders and the communities in how to be more inclusive whilst also enabling persons with a disability to participate in society by strengthening their leadership and providing them with essential rehabilitation and other supports.

  • CDD is one of the most renowned organizations in the field of disability-inclusive development. CDD’s work in Bangladesh is supported by international and national donor agencies/development partners. CDD offers an inclusive, amicable, and respectable work environment.

  • The Ramon Magsaysay Award (Asian version of the Noble prize) has been awarded to its Executive Director in 2010. In 2018, CDD was recognized by the Government of Bangladesh as one of the best organizations working on disability and development issues.

  • CDD is accepting application for the position of ‘MHPSS Officer’ under a project named ‘Ensuring Essential Rehabilitation and Psychosocial Support for the Most Vulnerable in Cox’s Bazar’ supported by HI. The duration of the project is till 3oth April 2026.
