  • Proven track record of successfully onboarding large-scale brands, top e-commerce sellers, or well-known merchants onto platforms, with verifiable performance data, cooperation cases, or client testimonials

  • In-depth understanding of the Bangladeshi e-commerce ecosystem, including local mainstream consumer product categories, market competition landscape, core merchant needs, and pain points

  • Rich industry resources: Established stable and active cooperation channels with local large brands, cross-border brand distributors, national-level agents, and top e-commerce sellers in Bangladesh

  • Mature experience in formulating merchant acquisition strategies, negotiating cooperation agreements, and maintaining long-term merchant relationships

  • Priority will be given to candidates with experience in market research and competitor analysis, who can optimize merchant acquisition strategies based on industry trends

Additional Requirements

  • 28-45 years old, with a professional image and excellent business etiquette

  • Fluent in both Bengali and English, capable of effective communication with local brands, international brand representatives, and internal teams

  • Exceptional negotiation, persuasion, and closing skills; able to persuade large brands and top sellers to settle on the platform through value proposition

  • Proactive and result-oriented, able to work under performance pressure and meet or exceed merchant acquisition targets

  • Skilled in relationship management, capable of building long-term mutually beneficial strategic partnerships with merchants

  • Proficient in basic office software (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint) to complete merchant acquisition report compilation, cooperation plan presentations, and contract management

Responsibilities & Context:

We are seeking an experienced and resourceful Merchant Acquisition Manager to be responsible for merchant expansion of the KICKBAZAR e-commerce platform in Bangladesh. The core focus is to onboard well-known large brands and top e-commerce sellers, enrich the platform’s high-quality merchant resources, enhance the platform’s market influence and core competitiveness, and support the company’s rapid expansion in the Bangladeshi e-commerce market. This position requires overall coordination of the entire merchant acquisition process, formulating precise strategies, efficiently integrating resources, and achieving merchant acquisition goals.

  • Formulate and execute platform merchant acquisition strategies: Combine platform positioning and market demand to target core merchant groups such as large brands and top e-commerce sellers, and develop targeted merchant acquisition plans and expansion paths.

  • Responsible for target merchant development and negotiations: Proactively engage with local large brands, cross-border brand agents, and top e-commerce sellers in Bangladesh, conduct business negotiations, clearly communicate platform advantages, onboarding policies, and support systems, and promote cooperation signing.

  • Maintain and expand industry resources: Continuously deepen existing merchant resources to establish long-term strategic cooperative partnerships; actively develop new merchant channels to enrich the brand and seller resource pool.

  • Oversee the entire merchant acquisition process: Assist merchants in completing the full process of onboarding application, qualification review, contract signing, and store opening; coordinate internal teams to resolve various issues during the merchant onboarding process to ensure a smooth and efficient onboarding experience.

  • Develop merchant support programs: Collaborate with internal teams to provide targeted support (such as traffic support, operational guidance, event resources, etc.) for onboarding merchants based on their types and needs, improving merchant activity and retention rates.

  • Conduct market and competitor research: Regularly analyze the dynamics of the Bangladeshi e-commerce market, competitor platforms’ merchant acquisition policies, and merchant layout; optimize the platform’s merchant acquisition strategies, onboarding conditions, and support policies to maintain competitiveness in merchant acquisition.

  • Establish a merchant acquisition data tracking system: Record merchant acquisition progress, merchant information, and cooperation status; regularly compile merchant acquisition performance reports and resource analysis reports to provide data support for management decisions.

  • Coordinate internal cross-departmental collaboration: Work closely with platform operations, marketing, technical support, and other teams to ensure seamless connection of post-onboarding services such as operational support and event docking for merchants.

  • Handle abnormal issues in merchant cooperation: Respond promptly to merchant demands, coordinate and resolve various problems arising during the cooperation process, and maintain a good cooperative relationship between the platform and merchants.
