Job Context:
∎ We are looking for a merchandising assistant for our company. The candidate is required to be very passionate and proactive in their job responsibilities. Merchandisers need to be great at communicating with buyers and suppliers so we prefer a social and bright candidate. Needs to be a team player as merchandiser will need to work in a cohesive environment with employees and managers from other departments. Lastly, merchandiser need to be open to training as they will be trained according to the requirements of our buyers so absolutely needs to be a fast learner.
∎ Candidate needs to be fluent in English as we only work with foreign buyers and sometimes the job will require you to communicate in English with the buyer over the phone.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Communication with buyers when the booking sheet has been sent and order placed.
∎ Arranging new fabrics collections to buyers as per the requirements.
∎ Ordering the required trims and sending them to buyer for approval.
∎ Arranging lab-dibs and strike offs from the chosen fabric mill and send to the buyer for approval.
∎ Arranging all testing of fabric and accessories. Basic knowledge on garments and accessories testing is required - wash related testing included.
∎ Filling out fabric specification sheets.
∎ Keeping and handling Oeko-Tex and compliance documents of all our fabric mills and suppliers like washing plants, printing houses etc
∎ Arranging Critical path of every order and updating every week so that handover date of every order is maintained.
∎ Needs to be able to read and understand all sample comments and responsible for ensuring our sample team is making the samples according to the critical path and sending them to buyers for approval.
∎ Constant communication with buyers about order related issues, approvals, testing requirements etc.

Additional Requirements:
∎ 2 years minimum experience working in a factory or buying house
∎ Female candidates preferred, male candidates will also be considered.
∎ HAS TO BE FLUENT IN ENGLISH - SPEAKING AND WRITING.

Salary: Tk. 15000 (Monthly)
