Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure clear communication with Buyers and all vendors from order confirmation to shipment.
∎ Ensure full understanding of buyer's requirements.
∎ Ensure clear communication within Merchandiser team, with Planning and Production team, Product Development Officers, Garment technologists to achieve sample development and production delivery on time and in full.
∎ Closely work with QA department from initial development and pre-production stage to ensure best final product.
∎ Maintains systematic work processes within his/her merchandiser team, supervises subordinate staff and provide relevant coaching and training.
∎ Reviews sales trends, generates reports, analyzes financial performance per sector/factory and provides input to Marketing Managers.
∎ Supervise and coordinate each and every aspect of the Merchandising & Marketing.
∎ Review the development packages received from buyers and put the developments into work with product development team as well as vendors.
∎ Check all costing for price negotiation with buyer and then attend price & sample review meetings with buyer.
∎ Settle all claims with buyers & suppliers and check all the P/I's for bb L/C before proceeding with commercial dept.
∎ Comply with corporate objectives of Marketing & merchandising planning, competitive assortment and brand mix, quality products and services that are catered to consumer's needs and lifestyle.
∎ Keep costs and other overheads of the Department within the budgeted limit.
∎ Ensure sustainable measures by improving sales, market share, customer satisfaction, profitability and productivity.
∎ Ensure cost reduction by reducing all kind of wastage.
∎ Responsible for various monthly reporting and variance analysis.
∎ Carry out any other jobs as assigned from time to time.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Must have at last 6-8 years experience in the merchandising (100% Export Oriented Sweater Factory/Buying House) field.
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Buying House (Sweater), Garments (Sweater)
∎ Skill in e-mail, MS Word, Excel and other computer applications.
∎ Be able to read, write and speak fluent English
∎ Should have strong communication and analytical skills
∎ Applicants should be capable to work independently
∎ Able to communicate in English with higher management (foreigner).
∎ Must have sufficient knowledge in costing, consumption and raw material sourcing in Sweater
∎ Strong knowledge in English for both writing and speaking.
