Position Overview:

The MEP Designer is responsible for ensuring design, coordination of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) related project in MEP design and supervision consultancy. By complying national and international code of practice of Electrotechnical field. 

Responsibilities & Context :

1. Prepare and coordinates drawing and supervision of MEP execution as per the project specifications and all applicable standards whether national and international standards

2. Prepare and submit the BOQ and BOM for all MEP projects.

3. Review of Plans, MEP systems interrelationships, and project schedule.

4. Co-ordination with Civil, Fire and Electrical department and ensure smooth flow of works.

5. Resolving Issues with coordinating with consultant, contractors, project managers and all related disciplines.

6. Facilitate problem solving, as may arise, between MEP Contractors during construction

7. Validate design issues related to MEP and suggest alternative solutions in guidance with consultant input. Assist in the receipt and review of MEP submittals.

8. Review the Daily, weekly & monthly reports submitted by the contractors and ensure targets are achieved as per the project schedule.

9. Log and post all MEP changes and as-built information on field drawings.

10. Assist in the scope review, budgeting and justification of MEP change work order.

11. Assist in the installation of MEP work.

12. Serve as project leader to coordinate efforts of managers, engineers, drafters, and manufacturing personnel during all project phases.

13. Co-ordination with all vendor’s sub-contractors and vendors for the quality of works at site.
