Educational Requirements:
∎ Diploma in Medical Technology (Laboratory) from an accredited academic institution.
∎ Internship must be completed from a medical college hospital
Experience Requirements:
∎ At most 2 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Organization Name: United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)
∎ To perform biological, hematological, biochemical, serological and other tests, and report the results in a timely manner following Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
∎ To ensure standard of laboratory services are as per national guidelines
∎ To collect specimens in accordance and on advice of the medical staff in the ICU/HDU.
∎ To explain the procedures of laboratory tests to the patients during sample collection
∎ To ensure that all specimens are well maintained in cold chain and assist in specimen transportation with the strict compliance to the instruction of Infectious Specimen Transportation.
∎ To assist in Quality Assurance measures covering pre-analysis, analysis and post-analysis are optimally undertaken and recorded.
∎ To follow ‘Laboratory Good Practice and Safety Guidelines’, personal protective precaution in specimen collection and testing strictly
∎ To maintain biosafety procedures as well as laboratory waste sterilization.
∎ To maintain register, data entry into database, records of laboratory test results, and reporting of laboratory results, handover logbook etc.
∎ To ensure operation of laboratory equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements
∎ Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least two (2) years of working experience
∎ Team-Work oriented, capacity to work independently; personal commitment, efficiency, cultures and professional backgrounds at all levels.
∎ Competence of work with Auto-Analyzers and ABG analyzers.
∎ Languages: Bangla: Advanced English: Basic
∎ Contract Period : Six months
Salary:
∎ Monthly Salary BDT: 60,000.00 & Hardship Allowance BDT: 8,000.00
