Experience:

• At least 2 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO, Consulting Firms, Manpower Recruitment

• Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery(MBBS)

• Completed Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from a recognized institution.

• At least 1-year intensive Post graduate training on Anesthesia from a recognized institution.

• Registration license from Bangladesh Medical & Dental Council.

• At least 2 years
• The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO, Consulting Firms, Manpower Recruitment

• Preference will be given to those who can perform induction of General Anesthesia independently.

• At least 2 years of experience working in anesthesia department.

• Ability to work effectively under pressure in hardship situations and harmoniously within a team of colleagues from varied cultures and professional backgrounds.

• Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.

• Proficient in the English language.

Job Location: District Sadar Hospital, Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh.

Job Responsibility:

• The incumbent will work as a team member with operation theatre staff and specialist doctors in managing both elective and emergency surgeries.

• Administer anesthesia or sedation and appropriate pain management during medical procedures, using local, intravenous, spinal, or caudal methods in accordance with standard guidelines.

• Monitor patient before, during, and after anesthesia and counteract adverse reactions or complications, such as provision of fluids and blood.

• Provide and maintain life support and airway management and help prepare patients for emergency surgery.

• Examine patient, obtain medical history, and use diagnostic tests to determine risk during surgical, obstetrical, and other medical procedures.

• Position patient on operating table to maximize patient comfort and surgical accessibility.

• Decide when patients have recovered or stabilized enough to be sent to another room or ward or to be sent home following outpatient surgery.

• Coordinate administration of anesthetics with surgeons during operation.

• Confer with other medical professionals to determine type and method of anesthetic or sedation to render patient insensible to pain.

• Coordinate and direct work of nurses, medical technicians, and other health care providers.

• Support operation theatre staff and train them in a proper way to provide optimal care to patients needing surgery as well as the proper post-surgery care.

• Schedule and maintain use of surgical suite, including operating, washing, waiting rooms, and anesthetic and sterilizing equipment.

• Keep the patient and/or his/her family informed about the illness and provide appropriate explanations about the treatment to follow and counselling patients and their relatives on diagnosis and bereavement.

• Perform any other roles and responsibilities that may be assigned by the Supervisor

Compensation & Benefits:

• Monthly gross salary for this position is BDT 120,860.
