B.Sc. in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE) from a reputed university.

Candidates with relevant professional certification in Utility, Energy Management, Boiler or Safety will be preferred.

8–12 years of relevant experience in Utility/Engineering/Maintenance, preferably in a Garments/Textile Manufacturing Factory.

Minimum 4–6 years of experience in a managerial/supervisory leadership role.

Practical experience in Boiler, Generator, Compressor, Substation, Water/ETP and other industrial utility systems.

Strong technical knowledge of industrial utility systems.

Good knowledge of RSC/Nirapon, Fire Safety, Electrical Safety and Environmental Compliance.

Proficiency in preparing and reviewing utility system designs and technical drawings using AutoCAD.

Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.Good leadership, team management and communication skills.

Strong knowledge of energy efficiency and utility cost optimization.

Good command of MS Office and utility reporting systems.

Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations.

Strong ownership, integrity and result-oriented mindset.

Job Context

We are looking for an experienced, technically sound and result-oriented Manager (Utility) to lead and manage the overall utility operations of our export-oriented garments manufacturing facility. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring uninterrupted utility support, optimum energy utilization, equipment reliability, safety and statutory/buyer compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and ensure smooth operation of all factory utility systems, including Generator, Boiler, Air Compressor, Substation, Transformer, Water Pump, WTP/ETP, Fire Pump and related utility equipment.

• Ensure uninterrupted supply of electricity, steam, compressed air, water and other utilities to support production.

• Develop and implement Preventive Maintenance (PM), Predictive Maintenance and Breakdown Maintenance programs.

• Sound knowledge of fire detection and fire protection systems, including their operation, maintenance and testing.

• Monitor daily utility performance, equipment parameters and identify potential risks before breakdown.

• Ensure minimum downtime through effective troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.

• Monitor and control electricity, gas, diesel, water, steam and compressed-air consumption.

• Initiate and implement energy-saving and cost-reduction projects to improve utility efficiency.

• Ensure proper operation, maintenance and safety of boiler, generator, compressor, electrical substation and other utility equipment.

• Ensure all statutory licenses, inspection certificates, logbooks and technical documents are properly maintained and updated.

• Ensure compliance with RSC/Nirapon, Fire Safety, Electrical Safety, Environmental and Buyer Compliance requirements.

• Coordinate with Production, IE, Maintenance, Compliance, Safety and other departments to ensure uninterrupted factory operations.

• Lead and supervise Utility Engineers, Supervisors, Operators, Technicians and other team members.

• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly utility consumption, maintenance, breakdown and performance reports for management.

• Maintain proper inventory of critical spare parts and ensure timely procurement of utility-related materials.

• Coordinate with vendors, contractors and service providers for maintenance, AMC, installation and commissioning.

• Support installation, testing and commissioning of new utility equipment and factory expansion projects.

• Ensure proper implementation of SOP, 5S, LOTO, PPE and safe working practices in all utility areas.

• Conduct regular inspection of utility equipment and take immediate corrective action against unsafe conditions.

• Develop the technical capability of the utility team through regular training and performance monitoring.

• Take immediate leadership during emergency utility breakdowns and ensure quick restoration of services.

• Perform any other responsibilities assigned by Management.
