UTAH Fashions Ltd., a renowned 100% export-oriented knit composite company in Bangladesh, is seeking an experienced, dynamic & high-potential professional as Manager - Finishing (Activewear) for the Garments Division in Gazipur.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead daily activewear finishing floor operations to maximize line efficiency and consistently hit target daily shipment quotas.
Establish precise iron/steam temperatures, pressure, and cooling parameters to prevent fabric shine, shade variation, or burn marks on synthetic/spandex blends.
Oversee high-precision heat-transfer logo applications, reflective prints, and silicone branding to ensure zero peel-off or placement defects.
Enforce rigorous quality checkpoints to inspect flatlock seam integrity, stretch recovery, and shade continuity to secure pass rates in buyer AQL audits.
Enforce needle policy, metal-detection protocols, and buyer social/technical compliance guidelines across the entire finishing floor.
Partner daily with Sewing, Printing, QA, and Merchandising teams to ensure seamless garment flow and quickly resolve operational bottlenecks.
Supervise thread trimming, oil and stain removal using stretch-fabric-safe cleaners, and visual surface defect checks.
Ensure precise execution of buyer packing manuals, including correct stretch folding, hangtag/barcode placement, and carton packaging.
Balance manpower and workstations to streamline garment movement and reduce work-in-progress (WIP) dwell times.
Manage supervisors and floor operators, conducting regular hands-on training on handling delicate knit and performance fabrics.
Troubleshoot critical activewear defects directly on the floor, such as print cracking, seam distortion, color migration, and moisture retention.
Lead internal and 3rd-party buyer final inspections to obtain immediate, zero-rejection shipment release approvals.
Monitor rework metrics, prevent heat-related fabric damage, and optimize poly-bag and trim consumption to control costs.
Maintain accurate daily finishing reports, yield logs, and floor balance charts while upholding strict 5S housekeeping standards.
