  • GSD / Work Study certification is highly desirable.

  • Deep technical understanding of stretch fabric behavior (spandex, lycra, polyester/nylon blends), thread tensioning, and specialized seam construction.

  • Proficient in GSD (Garment Sewing Data) or PRO-SMV software.

  • Minimum 10 years of dedicated experience managing activewear production lines.



Responsibilities & Context:

UTAH Fashions Ltd,. a renowned 100% export-oriented knit composite company of the Bangladesh is looking for an experienced, dynamic and highly potential professional as Manager - IE (Activewear) for the Garments Division located at Gazipur.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead & direct all IE operations across high-performance activewear sewing lines.

  • Establish standard time studies, SMV & precise operation breakdowns for technical activewear styles.

  • Design & execute optimal machine layouts & line balancing tailored for synthetic, elastic &  high-stretch fabrics.

  • Manage line setups & attachment requirements for specialized machinery, including flatlock, 4-needle 6-thread, & seam bonding equipment.

  • Conduct continuous method studies and motion analysis to reduce handling time and eliminate line bottlenecks.

  • Monitor daily target achievement, line efficiency, and earned hours to maintain maximum plant productivity.

  • Implement Lean manufacturing techniques (5S, Kaizen, SMED, Kanban) to minimize waste and cut order lead times.

  • Lead pre-production meetings (PPM) and sample trial runs to address technical sewing and fabric handling challenges.

  • Calculate thread, trim, and elastic consumption and specify required folders, pullers, and special attachments.

  • Analyze labor costs per unit & implement structured cost-reduction strategies across all activewear lines.

  • Conduct operator skill matrix mapping and capacity planning to optimize layout assignments and cross-training.

  • Train and mentor IE executives, line supervisors, and technicians on advanced activewear machinery and standard methods.

  • Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance departments to resolve floor disruptions in real time.

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly IE analytical reports and KPI dashboards for executive management.
