  • Expert hands-on knowledge in operation breakdown, layout planning & folder/attachment utilization specifically for outerwear & jackets.

  • Proficient in GSD (Garment Sewing Data) or PRO-SMV software.

  • Minimum 10 years of dedicated experience managing heavy/padded/technical jacket production lines.



Responsibilities & Context:

UTAH Fashions Ltd,. a renowned 100% export-oriented knit composite company of the Bangladesh is looking for an experienced, dynamic and highly potential professional as Manager - IE (Jacket) for the Garments Division located at Gazipur.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all Industrial Engineering operations for complex jacket and outerwear sewing lines.

  • Establish precise Standard Minute Value (SMV) and operation breakdowns for all technical jacket styles.

  • Design and execute optimal machine layouts and line balancing to minimize pitch time and eliminate bottlenecks.

  • Conduct continuous method studies, motion analysis, and ergonomic workstation engineering on jacket sewing floors.

  • Monitor daily line efficiency, earned hours, and target achievement to maintain peak plant performance.

  • Implement Lean manufacturing tools (5S, Kaizen, SMED, Kanban) to reduce waste and shorten order throughput time.

  • Calculate thread consumption, machine requirements, & specific folder/attachment needs prior to bulk execution.

  • Lead pilot runs and pre-production meetings (PPM) to identify critical operations and establish quality-IE standards.

  • Analyze labor costs per piece and introduce targeted cost-reduction strategies across all jacket lines.

  • Conduct capacity planning, manpower balancing, and operator skill matrix evaluations to maximize yield.

  • Mentor and train IE executives, line supervisors & operators on advanced machinery attachments & standard methods.

  • Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams to resolve operational disruptions in real time.

  • Evaluate and optimize individual operator performance to establish effective incentive and performance schemes.

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly IE analytical reports and KPI dashboards for senior management review.
