UTAH Fashions Ltd., a renowned 100% export-oriented knit composite company in Bangladesh, is seeking an experienced, dynamic & high-potential professional as Manager - Finishing (Jacket) for the Garments Division in Gazipur.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end daily finishing operations for jacket lines to achieve target floor output and consistently meet shipment deadlines.
Establish line-wise finishing sequences, steam pressing parameters & folding layouts customized for complex jacket fabrics and constructions.
Enforce strict quality controls across all finishing stages to maintain low defect rates and secure first-time passes on buyer AQL audits.
Implement and strictly monitor needle control, sharp metal policy & buyer compliance standards across the entire finishing floor.
Partner daily with Production, Quality Assurance, Washing & Merchandising teams to ensure seamless garment handover & resolve floor bottlenecks.
Oversee thread trimming, hardware & zipper functionality checks, stain removal & final pressing for zero-defect presentation.
Ensure strict adherence to buyer packing manuals regarding folding specifications, hangtag/barcode placement, poly-bagging & carton packing.
Optimize floor process flow & throughput time to eliminate bottlenecks & maximize worker productivity during peak operations.
Allocate daily floor headcount, maintain operational discipline & provide hands-on technical training to finishing supervisors & operators.
Coordinate internal, buyer & 3rd-party final inspections to obtain immediate shipment release approvals without quality rejections.
Troubleshoot critical jacket finishing defects such as fabric shine, seam puckering, shade variation or moisture retention directly on the floor.
Monitor & reduce rework percentages, prevent garment damage during pressing & optimize packaging material consumption.
Maintain accurate daily finishing reports, quality audit logs, yield metrics & packing status dashboards for management.
Ensure proper maintenance of vacuum tables, steam boilers, & packing equipment while upholding strict 5S housekeeping standards.
