Job Context: We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Transport Manager to oversee, optimize, and manage our entire fleet operations. The ideal candidate will ensure maximum vehicle uptime, strict regulatory compliance, and cost-effective logistics management.

Job Responsibilities

• Fleet Operations: Oversee daily operations of all company vehicles (Car, Mini Bus, Microbus and Covered Van), including scheduling, routing, and dispatching.

• Maintenance Management: Implement and manage preventive maintenance schedules for all light and heavy vehicles to minimize breakdown time.

• Team Leadership: Evaluate drivers, mechanics, and transport support staff to maintain discipline and safety.

• Cost Optimization: Monitor fuel consumption, repair costs, and operational expenses to implement strict budget control measures.

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all vehicles possess updated paperwork, including fitness certificates, tax tokens, route permits, and insurance.

• Vendor Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with external workshops, spare parts suppliers, and third-party transport providers.

• Accident & Emergency Handling: Lead investigations for on-road accidents, manage insurance claims, and implement corrective actions.

• Inventory Control: Maintain optimal stock levels of critical spare parts, lubricants, and tires to prevent operational delays.

• Safety & Security: Enforce strict health, safety, and environment (HSE) protocols across all transport routes and workshop premises.

• Reporting & Analytics: Prepare and present weekly and monthly reports on fleet performance, fuel efficiency, and overall operational costs to management.

Experience and Educational Requirements:

• B.Sc. or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering from any reputed institution.

• Minimum 10 years of active experience in fleet management, logistics, or transport operations.

• Experience in leading large-scale corporate or industrial fleets is highly preferred.

Additional Requirements:

• Deep technical knowledge of internal combustion engines, vehicle electrical systems, and mechanical troubleshooting.

• Strong leadership qualities with the ability to manage and motivate a large team of blue-collar workers (drivers and mechanics).

• Excellent negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills in both Bangla and English.

• Proficiency in using fleet management software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
