Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Responsible for the Development and Production of top-quality products in line with the company strategy and customer ‘s expectations.
∎ Apply best practice thinking and practices in order to control, assess and maintain the quality standards in line with customers’ requirements.
∎ Provide technical advice and support to factories, customers, Merchandising staff, and technical team members.
∎ Review and approve samples to ensure that they meet product specifications.
∎ Manage the team to ensure its effectiveness and efficiency.
∎ Provide technical control, including customer requirements and standards, to ensure customer standards and quality are maintained.
∎ Ensure Suppliers are adequately trained to reduce the ‘cost of quality’ through effective workmanship engineering and identifying cost reduction opportunities during new product development.
∎ Familiar with global quality standards that deliver “Best Value for Money” and meet the customer’s fashion, fit, quality and safety expectations at all times.
∎ Possess a high level knowledge of technical design and product development.
∎ Must be a good coach and trainer to evaluate and develop technical team.
∎ In-dept knowledge on garment manufacturing, pattern making, gradings, fittings, measurements and safety requirements.
