Job Responsibilities:
∎ Independently handle the Environment and Chemical management projects and also the team.
∎ To take a lead role in the Group Company's aims regarding environmental performance with particular reference to energy, water, waste, chemicals etc.
∎ Dealing with authorized legal environmental departments regarding environmental activities of Bangladesh.
∎ To response and to communicate with a numbers of buyers and organizations relating to different sustainability survey i.e Ralph lauren, PVH, Tommy Hilfiger, etc
∎ Liaise with internal and external bodies in developing and implementing appropriate GHG emissions, ODS inventory, Hazardous waste management strategies and policies including the provision of guidance to relevant staff to assist them in achieving compliance with legislation and company policies.
∎ We have a LEED GOLD certified factory and we need the Monitoring and record keeping of consumption of fossil fuel, purchase electricity, water and waste production within the company and set targets for consumption in conjunction with other staff.
∎ Establish the ISO 14001:2015 requirement and Environment Management System.
∎ Promote the energy efficiency and awareness campaigns, trainings.
∎ To identify the company's training needs for related skills and work with Senior Managers in the development and delivery of environmental training programs.
∎ To participates in online environment and sustainability programs like SAC Higg Index, CDP, PaCT, CPI2 etc.
∎ To Follow up and monitor full chemical management process from supply chain ( in our laundry) to the facility, especially liaise with ZDHC and DETOX program.
∎ Preparation and implementation of Chemical management Policy, Chemical purchase, Handling & storage Policy and procedure ( in our laundry)
∎ Maintain an update chemical inventory for the company
∎ Chemical related risk assessment & root cause analysis if any sample/bulk failure occurs
∎ Implementation of Emergency response procedure for chemical management
∎ Compliance of the internal activities according to the chemical code of practice(COP)
∎ Implementation of ZDHC Guideline, buyers RSL & Conduct audits assessments
∎ Analysis of MSDS & TDS (CAS No. & Restricted Substances List -APEO, AZO, Formaldehyde, Heavy Metal Content etc.) for all chemical of the company
∎ Chemical test Report Evaluation both for fabric and ETP outlet discharge water regarding ZDHC standard
∎ Analysis of REACH, BLUE SIGN, GOTs, EPA,OEKO TEX100 certification of different chemical suppliers
∎ Have to provide training to related personnel regarding Safe Chemical Handling, PPE, Health & Safety, Formaldehyde Awareness and chemical compliance issuesCoordinate with chemical suppliers through supply chain for collecting Supplier Evaluation Assessment, MSDS,TDS and Certificate.
∎ Generate sustainability report each year.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 32 years
∎ The applicants should have experience in Textiles and RMG sector EMS Chemical Management and Energy Management.
