Educational Requirements:
∎ Master of Science (MSc) in Textile Engineering
∎ Bachelor/Master’s degree in a relevant field such as supply chain management, business administration, sustainability or a related field.
∎ Bangladesh University of Textiles (BUTEX)/ BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT)/BSC in Textile Engineering preferable.
∎ BGMEA University of Fashion Technology,Bangladesh University of Textiles students will get preference
Experience Requirements:
∎ 5 to 7 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Developing and implementing supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency and minimize costs.
∎ Analyzing supply chain data and making recommendations for improvement.
∎ Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements related to the supply chain.
∎ Managing the procurement of materials, goods and services from vendors, suppliers and manufacturers.
∎ Developing and implementing sustainable sourcing strategies that support the company's sustainability goals.
∎ Conducting regular assessments of suppliers to ensure compliance with ethical, environmental and social standards.
∎ Developing and managing supplier relationships to ensure continuity of supply and quality of products.
∎ Identifying opportunities to optimize supply chain processes to reduce costs, increase efficiency and minimize waste.
∎ Providing guidance and support to other departments on supply chain issues.
∎ Conducting research and analysis to identify opportunities for sustainability improvements.
∎ Collaborating with other departments to integrate sustainability into business processes and decision-making.
∎ Tracking and reporting on sustainability performance metrics.
∎ Work with cross-functional teams to implement sustainability initiatives and best practices.
∎ Staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices related to sustainability.
∎ Prepare and present reports on supply chain metrics and sustainability initiatives to senior management.
∎ Manage and develop a team of supply chain and sustainability professionals.
∎ The candidate will be responsible for managing the overall sustainability related activities of the factory effectively & efficiently.
∎ The candidate should have a thorough knowledge of compliance standards (Higg Index, BSCI, WRAP, ZDHC, OCS, GRS, RCS, FCCA, GOTS, BCI, CMiA, STeP by OeKo-Tex and Oekotex-100, etc.) Issues and compliance-related HR documentation.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 30 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ The applicants should have experience with group of company’s international procurement, supply chain, inventory management, compliance.
∎ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is must.
∎ Experienced working with Supply Chain Management software/ERP.
∎ Good team player with excellent interpersonal & communication skills.
∎ Self-driven to work under pressure and self-motivated to take new initiatives.
∎ Ability to achieve the target within a short lead time.
