Experience:
5–7 years of relevant professional experience in Procurement of pharmaceutical Machineries/Equipment and Supply Chain Management.
Experience in a Pharmaceutical Company is highly preferable.
Candidates with relevant procurement experience in Construction, Manufacturing or other large organizations may also be considered.
Strong negotiation, analytical and vendor management skills.
Good knowledge of procurement procedures, sourcing and supply chain practices.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
Strong communication, interpersonal and team management skills.
Good command of MS Office, particularly Excel.
Sound knowledge of ERP/software-based procurement systems will be an added advantage.
Strong sense of integrity, accountability and commercial judgment.
Develop and implement effective procurement strategies in line with organizational requirements and business objectives.
Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including sourcing, vendor selection, quotation analysis, negotiation, purchase orders and timely delivery.
Identify, evaluate and develop reliable local and international suppliers.
Negotiate price, quality, payment terms, lead time and other commercial conditions with suppliers.
Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, approved budgets and applicable regulatory requirements.
Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Finance, Stores and other relevant departments to ensure uninterrupted supply.
Monitor market prices, supplier performance and availability of materials/equipment.
Maintain proper procurement documentation, records and vendor databases.
Develop and maintain long-term relationships with strategic suppliers.
Ensure cost-effective procurement while maintaining required standards of quality and timely delivery.
Lead and supervise the procurement team and ensure effective performance of the department.
Prepare procurement reports, analysis and management information as required.
