Educational Requirements:
∎ B.Sc in Textile Engineering / Fabric Manufacturing
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 10 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Clearly communicate your textile design methodology grounded in consumer research to do knitting plan and having sound knowledge & experience on yarn quality, yarn types and fabrication etc.
∎ Develop new fabric ( Design) as per buyer given swatch or own design.
∎ Give technical support to the factory by a cam arrangement, knitting technique, dyeing procedure, finishing SOP, etc.
∎ Count selection for required GSM.
∎ Stitch length Selection for required GSM according to count.
∎ Expert in the fabric apparel manufacturing process & are familiar with operating principles such as LEAN & Continuous Improvement
∎ Develop and lead a Sustainability strategy for the development and selection of all fabrications
∎ Analyze fabric needs across the brand and make recommendations to Global Sourcing and Design for leveraging qualities across divisions.
∎ Follow-up regular development fabric as per buyer needs.
∎ To solve bulk fabric various problems ( GSM, Dyeing fault, Knitting fault, finishing fault)
∎ Take corrective action according to the fabric problem.
∎ Analyze the fabric structure & give a decision it is production feasible or not.
∎ Give technical support to all machines.
∎ Critical bulk fabric follow-up (Fleece, Slub, design etc)
∎ Give technical support to any test issue.
∎ Attend fabric shows as appropriate to gain perspective on innovation and trend and share information to cross functional partners on emerging fabric trends.
∎ Ensure fabric constructions for both knits and wovens are as ordered and meet established standards.
∎ Lead all Research and Development efforts around fabrics, accessories and trims.
∎ Any other related jobs that may assign by the Management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 45 years
∎ Minimum 10 years of experience in any reputed Knit composite garments factory(s) out of which minimum 3 years in Managerial (Knitting) Position.
∎ Responsible for RND bulk Fabric SSY testing fabric sourcing, develop research & work on seasonal fabrics
∎ Candidates should have excellent knowledge in different types of yarns & fabrics
∎ Strong technical knowledge in knitting and quality system.
∎ Able to work under pressure and complete the task within a preset time-frame
∎ Good team player, well-organized, initiative and detail-oriented
∎ Good knowledge & skills in computing
∎ Good in planning and analytical skills
∎ Fabric Development: new ideas for marketing will be considered as additional qualification
∎ Good inter-personal & communication skills
