∎ Project Summary:
∎
∎ Strengthening Emergency Preparedness and building infrastructure for Disaster Vulnerable Communities in Bangladesh (STEP & BuildIn) Project is aiming to improve the life and livelihood status of the vulnerable people by focusing on (i) Strengthening knowledge, response and recovery capacity of different stakeholders (ii) Reducing the disaster risk through improving physical structure and providing improve adaptive services to the community and (iii) Reducing the vulnerability of the community people through providing improved and alternative livelihoods.
∎ Role of this Position
∎ Under the supervision of Project Coordinator, the Manager- Finance will be responsible as a key person to overall management, controlling and final reporting of financial issues as well as compliance of the project coordinating with field office, partner organizations and donor.
∎ Supervision Given: NA.
∎ Supervision Received: Project Coordinator
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure entries of all financial transaction of the project according to organizational rules, budget allocation and donor requirements.
∎ Monitor the cash flow, prepare the fund request to the donor in prescribed form and report accordingly.
∎ Verify the fund request of the field offices and partner organizations and take appropriate and necessary actions to send the fund for smooth and timely implementation of the project.
∎ Make sure that appropriate internal financial controls are in place for the project and compliance adequacy.
∎ Assisting and guiding Accounts and Admin Officers by providing relevant financial information, solving problems and other decision-making activities.
∎ Ensure and improve financial controls and procedures in Head Office and field offices.
∎ Support and work closely with Project Coordinator for the process of Project Implementation Plan and accounts procedure.
∎ Maintain all the financial record keeping at the head office and ensure in field office according to organizational policies.
∎ Provide significant attention and ensuring all compliance issues met the government laws and regulations with regards to VAT and Tax.
∎ Prepare and submit final financial report for the organization and donor maintain deadlines and ensure accuracy of financial reporting for field offices and partner organization.
∎ Monitoring the financial risks like budget overspends, increased costs, and keeping update to the project coordinator.
∎ Work close with finance department and ensure support to maintain all financial policy, procedures.
∎ Ensure project external auditing timely as per the requirements of the government, donor and organization.
∎ Ensure the availability and safe keeping of the necessary cash and authorizing and making payment for purchases.
∎ Archiving accounting supporting documents in accordance with CCDB's procedures
∎ Provide necessary logistic and administrative support to the team needed for smooth implementation of the project.
∎ Keep record and update the inventory of the project assets.
∎ Support the procurement team in purchasing necessary materials, items for the project from head office.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 45 years
∎ Position requires at least five years of experience in Accounting and Financing in development sector.
∎ Should have experience in working with partner organization.
∎ Must have skill in operating various accounting software.
∎ Require skill in preparing report both in English and Bangla.
∎ Strong analytical skills and understanding of database concepts.
∎ Ability to operate with independence, under pressure, to meet deadlines and commitments.
∎ Proven ability to work as part of a team, and as part of a wider network, monitoring partner organization.
∎ Cultural sensitivity and ability to respect and work well with people from different backgrounds and disciplines.
∎ Willingness to visit and stay at remote area.
∎ Physical Requirements: Physically and mentally sound with good health, smart, energetic, ability to work in all situation and environment.
Salary: Tk. 55000 - 60000 (Monthly)
