Experience:
B.Sc. in Textile Engineering (major in Fabric or Wet Processing) from a recognized university.
A post-graduate qualification in Textile Technology, Fabric Science, or a related discipline will be considered an added advantage.
Strong understanding of woven fabrics, dyeing and finishing processes, and fabric performance requirements.
Hands-on experience in dealing with local and international mills and conducting fabric inspections.
Excellent knowledge of fabric testing methods, lab protocols, and international quality standards.
Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills.
Ability to lead a team and handle multiple projects under tight timelines.
Proficient in MS Office, ERP systems, and fabric data management tools.

Job Responsibilities:
Oversee all fabric-related operations from development to bulk production, ensuring consistency in quality, performance, and compliance with buyer standards.
Evaluate and approve new fabrics, finishes, and dyeing methods in coordination with product development, merchandising, and sourcing teams.
Work with mills and suppliers to resolve issues related to shade variation, shrinkage, GSM deviation, and hand-feel discrepancies.
Conduct detailed fabric analysis and ensure adherence to specifications for colorfastness, dimensional stability, and other key performance indicators.
Lead the risk assessment process for new fabrics and ensure preventive actions are taken before production.
Monitor lab test results, liaise with third-party labs, and ensure accurate reporting and record maintenance.
Collaborate closely with production, quality assurance, and washing departments to address fabric behavior during cutting, sewing, and washing stages.
Support continuous improvement initiatives through process optimization, supplier development, and cost-efficiency measures.
Guide and mentor junior members of the fabric and quality teams to enhance their knowledge and practical skills.
