Experience in biological, chemical, and physical wastewater treatment processes.
Proven track record in DoE reporting, audits, and compliance management.
Experience handling large-capacity ETP plants is an added advantage.
Willingness to work on shifts during emergencies / breakdowns.
Ability to manage cross-functional coordination with Production, Utility, Engineering, and Compliance teams.
Strong ethical and environmental responsibility mindset.
ETP operation & management Wastewater treatment technologies Environmental Compliance (DoE, ISO 14001).
Preferably certified in ISO 14001 EMS / Sustainability Management.
Responsibilities & Context:
Job Context
Argon Denims Ltd is looking for the Manager for ETP operation. To lead and manage the entire Effluent Treatment Plant operations ensuring full compliance with environmental regulations, optimizing treatment performance, minimizing environmental impact, and driving sustainability initiatives across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
Oversee daily operations of the ETP ensuring smooth and uninterrupted functioning.
Maintain optimal performance of biological reactors, clarifiers, aeration, MBBR/MBR systems, sludge treatment, and chemical dosing.
Ensure compliance with discharge standards (DoE, buyer requirements and so on).
Compliance & Monitoring
Implement environmental standards and ensure continuous monitoring of effluent quality.
Prepare and submit monthly/quarterly reports to DoE and stakeholders.
Lead environmental audits, inspections, and corrective action follow-ups.
Chemical & Process Control
Develop chemical dosing plans and cost-optimized treatment solutions.
Monitor MLSS, pH, DO, sludge volume, flow rate, and microbial activity parameters.
Team Leadership
Lead, train, and supervise ETP engineers, chemists, and operators.
Build capability on environmental safety, operational discipline, and emergency response.
Resource & Cost Management
Prepare annual budgets for ETP consumables, chemicals, spares, and manpower.
Reduce operational costs through process optimization and innovation.
Maintenance & Upgradation
Create preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for pumps, blowers, screens, mechanical and electrical equipment.
Collaborate with engineering to upgrade plant capacity and introduce new technologies.
Health, Safety & Environment
Ensure full compliance with EHS protocols.
Implement safe chemical handling, PPE usage, and emergency preparedness plans.
Sustainability
Drive initiatives on water reuse, recycling, sludge management, and energy-efficient operations.
Support sustainability reporting (LEED, ESG) where required.
