Responsibilities & Context:

Job Context

The MTO–ETP will support the efficient and compliant operation of the Effluent Treatment Plant in a textile/fabric manufacturing environment. The role aims to ensure the treatment of wastewater meets environmental standards while maintaining plant efficiency, safety, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor daily ETP operations including flow rates, chemical dosing, sludge handling, and treatment efficiency.

  • Assist in operating different units: Equalization, Aeration, Clarifier, MBBR/MBR, UF/RO (if installed), and tertiary treatment sections.

  • Conduct routine inspections of pumps, blowers, aerators, mixers, valves, and filtration systems.

  • Collect and analyse wastewater samples for pH, TSS, COD, BOD, colour, and other required parameters.

  • Maintain compliance with local environmental regulations (EPA/DOE) and internal standards.

  • Assist in preparing environmental reports, logs, and compliance documentation.

  • Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive and corrective maintenance of ETP machinery.

  • Troubleshoot minor operational issues under supervision.

  • Maintain daily operational logs, chemical consumption records, and system performance data.

  • Assist in handling treatment chemicals safely and accurately.

  • Monitor chemical inventory and raise timely requisitions.

  • Follow EHS guidelines, PPE requirements, and safety protocols.

  • Participate in audits, training sessions, and hazard identification exercises.
