Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Utilisation of metrics and analytical tools that assess Production capacity, operational efficiency, resource optimization etc.
∎ Facilitate in-depth root cause analysis and drive all planned initiatives to achieve Operational Excellence.
∎ Maintain an effective internal communication system to ensure that the roles and responsibilities of all function & process owners are clearly defined and understood.
∎ Sustain profitable operations through focus on budgeting, cost analysis and cost optimisation of manpower, material and machinery resources.
∎ Ensure overall On-Time-Delivery of finished products to the next production line.
∎ Total accountability of assigned dyeing unit/line, receiving of the yarn/fabric from Inventory, monitoring yarn quality segregation, Examining-dyeing specifications and obtaining the QC approval.
∎ Ensure RFT – Right First time of the finished product.
∎ Monitor daily Yarn/Grey fabric inspection report.
∎ Monitor product standards and implement quality control programmes as per QMS.
∎ Partner with cross-functional teams to include Merchandising, Sourcing, Technical Design and other production units to ensure all phases of division objectives, from initial design to final product are achieved.
∎ Coordinate daily production activities and delegate assignments to production personnel as per the production schedule finalized in Pre-Production planning meetings.
∎ Ensure co-ordination with the Merchandising and Quality team to achieve the buyer’s specifications of Color, Prints, Patterns and Quality.
∎ Work on eliminating causes at the root to bring down complaints in terms of financial impact on the company for all internal or external Complaints.
∎ Focus on increasing manpower optimization for the dyeing unit.
∎ Ensure all the units/lines are dyeing the Pattern/fabric as per buyer’s specifications and quality standards.
∎ Attend and participate in regular production meetings.
∎ Work in a fast-paced environment with fast-changing priorities; Address conflicts of interest and provide solutions.
∎ Prepare data for energy/ raw material/ consumables costs. Take initiatives for implementing measures for production efficiency, reduction in CPM & Process loss of material.
∎ Clear production costs of the assigned unit daily.
∎ Responsible for the entire Dyeing Unit/line operations. Monitor the agreed quantity and quality of work, ensure employees receive the proper training, and address maintenance and production concerns. The position will oversee and assist with the daily Production Unit operations including process and procedure improvement activities.
