Educational Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ •Work with Divisional Merchandising Manager / Key Account Manager, development (pre-season) Merchandisers, Mills and Customers' teams to understand customer needs from the quality, product aesthetics, costs, calendar adherence stand points.
∎ •Communicate with all internal teams to manage the design and product development process. Responsible over the end state of the samples, which must meet the conceptual expectation and direction given by the Customers.
∎ •Provide product development support to meet customer's requirements, with samples execution being "right the first time", once tech packs and technical specifications are received from the Customer.
∎ •To this end, the role requires to clarify all necessary details with the Customers, to ensure good understanding of the product specs by all Epic teams, including the sample room, the sourcing & procurement team, the merchandising teams, etc...
∎ •Translate the customer specifics either from Chinese and Japanese to English and communicate them to team members effectively and accurately. Create standard procedures (that could be supported by IT, like Optical Character Recognition technology for instance) to reduce the translation workload and enable repeatability across the technical files.
∎ •Oversee all product development related projects from conception to delivery.
∎ •Prepare presentation from original pieces to the Design Team, including sketches, illustration, CAD artwork, color, etc.
∎ •Partner with the Sourcing teams and with Merchandising teams to support them on the development of new styles as requested by the Customer.
∎ •Monitor the status and timely procurement of raw materials for the making of samples, and partner with the Sourcing and procurement teams.
∎ •Identify of raw materials that are not meeting cost or quality standards and work with the Sourcing and Procurement teams on improvement.
∎ •Drive and build the initial/internal cost sheet for all styles that are in development by partnering with all concerned teams (design, merchandisers, GSD and Technical teams, sourcing teams, etc.).
∎ •Oversee the T&A (time and action) for all styles in development to ensure timely delivery of samples to Customers.
∎ •Keep accurate records of all product developments activities. Ensure that all versions, updates and changes at the product level are well monitored, recorded and communicated to all concerned parties.
∎ •Ensure that a proper risk assessment around the product is communicated to the Merchandisers and Customers to guarantee 100% flawless bulk production, preempt, and avoid potential issues during production. Provide and drive doable and practical solutions with this objective in mind.
∎ •Perform other adhoc duties as assigned from time to time by management.

Additional Requirements:
∎ The individual must absolutely speak and write Mandarin Chinese, Japanese and English fluently.
