The Manager – Contract Manufacturing & SBU Capacity Utilization will lead enterprise-wide capacity optimization initiatives across Akij Resources and its SBUs. The role requires close coordination with Plant Heads, Planning, Procurement, and Finance to balance production loads, unlock idle capacity, and reduce manufacturing cost per unit.

The incumbent will drive subcontract manufacturing strategy, evaluate and onboard third-party manufacturers, negotiate commercial terms, and ensure strict adherence to quality, ESG, and regulatory standards. The role also demands implementation of digital dashboards for real-time capacity visibility, monthly performance reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance fixed cost absorption and working capital efficiency.

Job Responsibilities:
Monitor plant-wise capacity utilization and implement improvement initiatives.

• Identify idle or underutilized capacity and develop structured utilization plans.

• Coordinate with Plant Heads and Planning teams to ensure balanced production loading.

• Manage end-to-end subcontract and toll manufacturing operations.

• Evaluate, onboard, and negotiate with contract manufacturing partners.

• Conduct make-or-buy analysis to drive cost-efficient sourcing decisions.

• Track manufacturing costs and strengthen fixed cost absorption performance.

• Prepare and publish monthly capacity utilization and subcontract performance reports.
