Educational Requirements:
∎ Master’s in Agriculture preferably in horticulture, agronomy from any recognized universities in Bangladesh.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 5 to 7 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide guidance to select appropriate farmers for adaptation activities.
∎ Scaling up successful adaptation measures among farmers.
∎ Provide technical support for the successful implementation of adaptation measures.
∎ Documentation and prepare communication materials for the larger audience of successful adaptation measures.
∎ Develop a realistic plan for adaptation measures for the project.
∎ Communicate with various organizations and institutions about new technologies, breeds, and varieties for adaptation measures.
∎ Ensure timely, high-quality implementation and support that adheres to project work plans.
∎ Establish linkages and strengthen relationships with service providers, relevant Government Authorities, to make them supportive and responsive to the farmers.
∎ Monitor the adaptation measures and prepare timely reports for the organizations.
∎ Provide proper guidance to the field team to monitor and record all information of the adaptation measures.
∎ Organize national and regional level workshops sharing achievements of the projects.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ At least 5 to 7 years’ experience in implementing agriculture programs.
∎ Have a clear understanding of Climate Change and DRR.
∎ Have a clear understanding of climatic zones in Bangladesh and practical experiences to work with different zones in Bangladesh.
∎ Have experience working with adaptive measures including fisheries and livestock sectors also.
∎ Have knowledge and skill about marketing or online marketing of agricultural products in the country or in abroad.
∎ Need at least 15 days of travel in a month at project locations and other locations in the country.
∎ Have the capacity to work under pressure.
∎ Considerable experience in Planning, Strategic thinking, Analytical skills, and Influencing and negotiations skills with different stakeholders.
∎ Result-driven personality
∎ Confidence and belief in sustainable social-economic development through strong cooperation between private sectors and NGOs.
∎ A strong commitment to gender equality and addressing other diversity perspectives; and experience in supporting women's empowerment, and rights-based approaches to poverty alleviation.
∎ Have the capacity to prepare quality reports in English for the stakeholders.
∎ Have Presentation and communication skills.
∎ speaking fluent in English is essential.
Salary: Tk. 60000 - 65000 (Monthly)
