Responsibilities & Context:

Job Summary:

Nourish Poultry and Hatchery Ltd. is looking for an enthusiastic Management Trainee Officer (MTO) to assist in farm operations and develop practical expertise in poultry production management. This role supports flock supervision, farm activities, biosecurity compliance, reporting, and coordination with technical teams to maintain safe and efficient farm operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Flock Management & Monitoring

  • Support daily checks on flock health, feed consumption, weight, productivity, and mortality.

  • Assist with vaccination, deworming, and treatment programs with the technical team.

  1. Farm Operations

  • Assist with daily farm activities such as feeding, watering, lighting management, culling, and grading.

  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of production data, bird movement, medication, and mortality.

  1. Biosecurity & Health Protocols

  • Enforce farm biosecurity measures, including hygiene, access control, and waste disposal.

  • Support routine sanitation, disinfection, pest control, and litter management.

  1. Technical Learning & Coordination

  • Learn farm technical operations under senior managers, including ventilation, climate control, egg handling, and equipment use.

  • Coordinate with feed, lab, technical, and vaccine teams.

  1. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare daily and weekly flock performance reports.

  • Assist in investigating issues like production drops, feed refusal, or disease outbreaks.

  1. Team Support & Training

  • Develop supervisory skills by assisting farm staff and guiding junior helpers under supervision.
