Skills Required:
Additional Requirements:
Experience in operating machinery in a cable, PVC duct, manufacturing plant, or fiber optical factory (preferred).
Basic understanding of optical fiber production processes.
Ability to read technical documents, production instructions, or shift reports.
Strong attention to detail & responsibility in dandling equipment.
Physically fit & capable of working in production environment.
Willing to work in shifts.
Responsibilities & Context:
Machine Setup & Operation
- Operate and monitor optical fiber cable manufacturing machines (coloring, buffering, stranding, jacketing, armoring, etc.).
- Assist in machine setup, loading raw materials/spools (fiber core, HDP, Jelly, PBT, etc.), and parameter adjustment.
- Ensure smooth material flow and continuous operation of production lines.
Production Monitoring & Quality Control
- Observe production lines for alignment, performance, and defects.
- Conduct in-process checks (fiber tension, cable diameter, sheath quality).
- Support QA team with sampling, testing, labeling, bundling, and packaging.
- Ensure finished products meet technical drawings, specifications, and standards.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and basic upkeep of machines.
- Assist in minor adjustments during production and report irregularities, breakdowns, or abnormalities to the maintenance/engineering team.
Safety & Documentation
- Maintain a clean, safe workplace by following health & safety regulations.
- Use proper PPE and comply with factory discipline.
- Record daily production reports, machine settings, and downtime logs.
Support & Teamwork
- Assist operators with lifting, moving, and removing finished products to designated areas.
- Cooperate with supervisors and colleagues in continuous improvement initiatives.
