Experience:
2–5 years of relevant experience in garments/accessories, manufacturing, or corporate legal roles.
Strong knowledge of Bangladesh labor and corporate laws.
Experience in handling compliance and factory-related legal issues.
Provide legal advice on labor laws, factory laws, environmental regulations, and corporate compliance.
Draft, review, and vet contracts, agreements, MOUs, NDAs, and supplier/customer agreements.
Should have strong screening and fine checking capacity to scrutinize land ownership documents from CS, SA, RS and city records for land purchase of the company.
Ensure compliance with Bangladesh Labor Act, Factories Act and buyer compliance requirements.
Handle legal issues related to workers, trade unions, termination, disciplinary actions, and employee disputes.
Coordinate with government authorities such as Department of Inspection for Factories and Establishments (DIFE), Ministry of Labour, and other regulatory bodies.
Manage litigation matters, legal notices, court cases, and liaison with external lawyers.
Advise management on legal risks, claims, penalties, and preventive measures.
Maintain proper legal records, licenses, permits, and statutory documentation.
Support HR and compliance teams on legal matters related to labor relations and workplace safety.
Manage the cases filed on behalf of or against the company
Check, verify and provide opinion on all kinds of land related vetting (title deed, Baya Deed, Khatians, Dags, DCRs of CS, SA, RS, BS and Commissioning etc.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including land agreements, vendor contracts, project contracts, partnership/joint-venture agreement, service contracts, lease agreements, sales/purchase agreements, etc.
Conduct legal due diligence for land purchases, projects, and new business ventures.
Handle dispute resolution, legal due diligence, compliance with local laws/regulations, corporate litigation and liaise with external legal counsel when necessary.
