• LL.B. (Honours) and/or LL.M. from a recognised university

• Bar Council enrolment (Bangladesh) required for litigation roles; Barrister-at-Law / England & Wales qualification an added advantage

• BBA/MBA in addition to law credentials is considered a strong plus for banking-facing roles

• ICA, CA, ICMA, CAMS, ITP, any recognize certificate shall be considered as additional qualification.

• Junior roles: 0–3 years` relevant experience (fresh graduates with strong academics are encouraged to apply)

• Mid-level roles: 3–5 years` relevant experience in a law firm, chamber, corporate legal department, or bank

• Senior and Partner-track roles: 5–10+ years` relevant post-qualification experience in the relevant practice area

• Practical experience in legal drafting, litigation, legal research, or banking/regulatory advisory will be preferred

• ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Sound understanding of Bangladeshi law; exposure to banking regulation, AML/CFT, or international law is a strong advantage

• Strong legal drafting, analytical, and research skills, with meticulous attention to detail

• Excellent command of English and Bangla, both written and spoken

• Professional integrity, discretion, and the ability to manage sensitive and confidential client matters

• Ability to work independently and as part of a professional legal team, managing multiple assignments and deadlines

• Good command of MS Office and online legal research tools

• An established professional network within Dhaka`s business and banking community — particularly Gulshan, Banani, and Baridhara — and demonstrated business development ability will be viewed as a strong advantage for Senior Associate level and above, with a corresponding fast-track to Partner-track progression

• Lateral candidates — seasoned Bankers, Law Enforcement professionals, Barristers, and Attorneys — are warmly encouraged to apply for roles and seniority commensurate with their experience

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsibilities vary by practice group. Candidates should indicate their preferred group and seniority level in their application.
• Legal Vetting & Corporate Advisory (Associate / Senior Associate)
• Title investigation and due diligence on immovable property
• Corporate KYC/CDD review for banks, financial institutions, and corporate clients
• Drafting of legal opinions and vetting reports
• Banking & Financial Documentation (Associate / Senior Associate / Assistant Manager)
• Drafting and review of loan and security documentation, charge and mortgage instruments
• AML/CFT and sanctions-related advisory
• Liaison with banks and NBFIs on regulatory documentation
• Litigation & Dispute Resolution (Associate / Senior Associate / Of Counsel)
• Civil, criminal, and commercial litigation before District Courts, the High Court Division, and Appellate Division
• Drafting of pleadings, appeals, and case strategy
• Client and court representation
• International Criminal Law & INTERPOL Practice (Senior Associate / Counsel / Partner-track)
• INTERPOL Red Notice and diffusion challenges, extradition matters
• Representations to the CCF and National Central Bureaus

• Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions, notes, and case briefs
