Excellent command of communication skills both in Bangla and English.

Should have in-depth knowledge and understanding of various types of property ownership-related documents, e.g. sale deed, gift deed, partition deed, mortgage deed, power deed, rectification deed, Baya deeds, land mutation documents, Parchas, Khatian etc.
Should have a clear understanding of the processes and requirements relating to registration and mutation of various property documents, obtaining authority permissions, verification of property-related documents etc. Required
The age limit for the applicant would be 40 years. Management has the right to make exceptions based on qualifications.
Job Purpose: UCEP Bangladesh is looking for a potential Candidate for the Legal Affairs Unit, who will handle all sorts of land and legal issues of UCEP Bangladesh with proper reporting to the Management as and when required. The incumbent must maintain the highest professional and ethical standards dealing the legal issues in line with UCEP Bangladesh’s Values, Vision, Mission, Goals and relevant country laws.
Job Responsibilities:
Render necessary support to ensure that the organization complies with all relevant statutory and governance practices and guidelines.
Prepare legal drafts on a wide range of issues as required.
As required/advised, assist/represent UCEP Bangladesh at appropriate forums.
Monitor the timely and due maintenance of all the registers and other records/documents to be maintained by the organization.
Vetting documents relating to land purchase, to be involved in the registry office relating to the registration of various types of deeds and documents, mutation, miss case and land related other necessary issues.
Preparing & drafting legal notices, deed of agreement, Power of Attorney, Service Agreement and other legal documents as required by the UCEP Bangladesh.
Monitoring all suits/cases of the UCEP Bangladesh pending in the Judge Court, High Court and Tribunals when and where necessary.
Formulate legal compliance check-lists for all the related activities and have those approved by the management before being practiced accordingly.
Share expert opinions on legal issues and/or matters as required to UCEP and its entities.
Update land documents of UCEP Bangladesh.
Ensure timely payment of land development tax, municipal tax and lease rent etc.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws necessary for UCEP Bangladesh.
Assist in the development/revisions of guidelines, policies, procedures and related legal issues.
Ensure (internal & external) compliance with laid down guidelines, policies and procedures; investigate issues of non-compliance as may be required.
Provide necessary and active support in reviewing and drafting contracts, agreements and internal policies and ensure that they are in compliance with all statutory or legal requirements.
Communicate and negotiate with different stakeholders/parties e.g. regulators, external counsel, public authority etc.
Assist in organizing orientation sessions on legal aspects so that there is minimum and/or common understanding among the employees of the organization.
Update the management on changes in policies/practices/legislations/rules relating to legal issues.
Promote and contribute to ongoing efforts towards gender equity & equality, child/staff protection & safeguard, inclusiveness, accessibility and discrimination free environment in the workplace and operations/activities/plans. In applicable cases, ensure that necessary budget allocation is there and in KPIs these issues are reflected regarding employees under supervision.
Assist the management in developing/devising/implementing/operationalizing of relevant policies like governance policy/manual.
Carry out any other relevant tasks assigned by the authority as and when necessary.
