∎ Our company is seeking to hire a skilled Software Developer, as well as a manager, to help achieving our organizational development objectives. Your duties will primarily revolve around building software by writing code, as well as modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces. You will also be involved in directing system testing and validation procedures, and perform technical issues including software system design and maintenance.
∎ Being the first position-holder, as well as a lead, at the division software development, you will form and lead a team of software developers working for the organization. In addition to designing software/applications for personal computer, cellphone, other devices and web services, you may also hire, train, and manage staffs under your lead, create and oversee budgets, and make progress reports to senior management.
∎ You will work closely with other software developers, researchers, business developers, partners, and other members of the organization throughout the software development life cycle. In this role, you should be a team player with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving skills. You will also work with various divisional heads and senior management team, to determine software requirements, meet with management to discuss how software applications can achieve business objectives, or train technical and non-technical end-users once the software has been developed.
∎ To be successful in this role, you will need extensive knowledge of programming languages and the software development life-cycle, and importantly, long-term experience of leading a team. A Bachelor degree in computer science or related degree is required.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop very clear idea of what the organization does and its vision-mission and objectives, and thus develop the sense for the demand of the type of software, meticulously plan for a self-sufficient software development team, and implement the plan in cooperation with the full team.
∎ Requirement analysis, design and development of the enhancement and modification request
∎ Collaborate with team members from different divisions and clusters to determine best practices and client/partner requirements for software
∎ Develop, test and implement new intuitive software that meets and exceeds the needs of the company
∎ Communicate regularly, clearly, effectively and professionally in all forms of communication with colleagues, clients and partners.
∎ Possess up-to-date knowledge of technological developments in the industry
∎ Actively seek ways to improve business software processes and interactions
∎ Research and suggest new products, applications and protocols
∎ Support the entire software development lifecycle (concept, design, test, release and support)
∎ Professionally maintain all software and create updates regularly to address clients, partners and company concerns
∎ Design and update software database. This includes, but is not limited to: Software Applications, Web Sites, Data Communication Processes and User Interfaces
∎ Analyze and test programs and products before formal launch
∎ Troubleshoot coding problems quickly and efficiently to ensure a productive workplace
∎ Test, maintain and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization
∎ Resolve complex technical design issues
∎ Development of technical specifications and plans
∎ Aid and support the coaching and training of other team members to ensure all members are confident in the use of software applications
∎ Analyze user requirements and convert requirements to design documents
∎ Make good technical decisions that provide solutions to business challenges
∎ Compile timely, comprehensive and accurate documentation and or reports as requested
∎ Create technical documentation for reference and reporting
∎ Develop operational manual for better workflow within, between and among teams and divisions.
∎ Help organization develop and maintain ERP, starting from the planning to implementation to maintenance.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 40 years
∎ 4-6 years of experience of developing and implementing software applications and at least 2-3 years of managing and coordinating a team of developers.
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Lead software engineer, project manager, database administrator, server platform.
∎ Excellent capacity of writing both in Bangla and English
∎ English as a second language should be in an advanced stage
∎ The candidate should have the skills and experience of analysing information, general programming, software design, software debugging, software documentation, software testing, problem solving, teamwork, software development fundamentals, software development process and software requirements.
∎ The candidate should have the experience in Software Development using different popular coding languages (such as PHP (laravel), Python, SQL, MongoDB, etc)
∎ Must have the ability to work under pressure
∎ Should be capable of working as an individual or in a team
∎ Must have the outstanding collaboration and communication skills
∎ Must be aggressive in learning new technology
∎ Candidate should possess strong problem solving and decision making skills while using good judgment
