Job Context:
∎ Objective:
∎ We seek qualified candidates to fill the "Officer/Senior Officer-Strategy and Business Development" position to join our experienced team of professionals.
∎ The prime objective of the position is to assess and secure the business opportunity in the field of research, consultancy, and training by scanning market demand in the private, public, and development sectors of the national and international arenas by utilizing the firm`s internal and external resources. The person will be responsible for executing the activities of the Communication and Business Development Team as well as collaborating with other team members.
∎ Supervision:
∎ The person will work under the direct supervision of the Manager-Communication and Business Development.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop a growth strategy and conduct research to identify new opportunities across different sectors.
∎ According to the SOP, search and analyze potential calls (RFP/ EoI/ REoI/ RFQ).
∎ Identify potential clients and collect the information of the key personnel within the client organization.
∎ Attend pre-bid meetings and other business-related discussions.
∎ Work with the team in developing proposals per the client's needs, concerns, and objectives.
∎ Maintain databases of all respective stakeholders relevant to the business communication.
∎ Close new business deals by conducting necessary tasks such as preparing and negotiating contracts and integrating contract requirements with business operations.
∎ Maintain regular communication with existing and previous clients to inform them about new services of the organization and bring new business from them.
∎ Attend relevant development events, and provide feedback about market demand and current trends.
∎ Identify the opportunities for collaboration with different sector leaders, development partners, donors, government agencies, universities, and institutions.
∎ Identify and develop the company's unique service propositions and differentiators through the usage of knowledge of the market and competitors.
∎ Analyze strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the organization.
∎ Support supervisor to develop the strategic plan for the development of the organization.
∎ Communicate with relevant stakeholders for proposal submission.
∎ Maintain regular basis updates on assigned tasks.
∎ Report on successes and areas needing improvements.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least one to four years of hands-on experience in the field of business development and management, ideally in the research and development sector
∎ The candidate should-
∎ possess good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
∎ possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, both in Bangla and English
∎ have good organizational and administrative skills
∎ have a good understanding and hands-on experience of working in/with networks, databases, and other cloud-based applications.
∎ have sound knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
∎ have problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
∎ have the ability to coordinate multiple assignments simultaneously
∎ have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
∎ be a self-starter and have the ability to lead a team
Salary:
∎ Tk. 30000 - 60000 (Monthly)
∎ Salary and position will be determined based on experience, skills, and the outcome of the recruitment assessment.
