Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Design, implement, and maintain scalable DevOps infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
∎ Define best practices and standards for DevOps processes across the organization.
∎ Lead the design, development, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
∎ Automate build, test, deployment, and release processes across environments.
∎ Architect and manage cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) ensuring high availability, scalability, and cost optimization.
∎ Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
∎ Set up centralized monitoring, logging, and alerting using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Datadog.
∎ Proactively detect and resolve performance bottlenecks and system issues.
∎ Implement security best practices (DevSecOps) throughout the development and deployment pipeline.
∎ Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (ISO, SOC2, GDPR, etc.).
∎ Collaborate with developers, QA, product managers, and IT teams to align DevOps initiatives with business goals.
∎ Act as a bridge between development and operations, advocating for DevOps culture.
∎ Lead incident response and root cause analysis for production issues.
∎ Coordinate with support teams to ensure minimal downtime and quick recovery.
∎ Analyze existing systems and recommend DevOps transformation strategies.
∎ Develop and maintain a DevOps maturity roadmap for the organization.
∎ Tool Evaluation & Implementation
∎ Evaluate new tools, technologies, and practices to enhance delivery pipelines.
∎ Oversee proof-of-concept initiatives and successful rollouts.
∎ Monitor infrastructure usage and recommend cost-effective solutions.
∎ Implement auto-scaling, spot instances, and rightsizing strategies.
∎ Containerization & Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
∎ GitOps implementation and promotion
∎ Support for hybrid and multi-cloud environments
∎ Continuous Testing and QA Integration
∎ Business continuity planning (DR/backup strategies)
