Skills Required: Additional Requirements: - Proven experience in poultry post-mortem and laboratory diagnostics.
- Knowledge of poultry diseases, vaccination, and nutrition.
- Ability to handle biological samples and hazardous materials safely.
- Good analytical, documentation, and reporting skills.
- Familiarity with MS Office and lab management software (if any).
- Willingness to work in farm premises and in field conditions.
- Strong sense of responsibility and confidentiality.
- Physically fit and able to handle birds and lab equipment safely.
Responsibilities & Context: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Poultry Laboratory & Post-Mortem Technician to support our layer, breeder, and poultry farm operations. The candidate will be responsible for conducting post-mortem examinations of deceased birds, analyzing feed and vaccine quality, and performing a wide range of laboratory tests to ensure flock health and farm biosecurity.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct post-mortem examinations to identify causes of bird mortality.
Prepare and maintain necropsy records and mortality reports.
Perform laboratory tests for:
-Feed quality analysis (moisture, protein, toxins, etc.)
- Vaccine and medicine quality checks
- Water and environmental testing
- Blood, fecal, and tissue sample examinations
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment (microscope, incubator, pH meter, etc.).
Follow proper hygiene, disinfection, and biosafety protocols during all procedures.
Assist the veterinarian in disease diagnosis and farm health surveillance.
Keep inventory of lab materials and ensure timely ordering of supplies.
Maintain accurate lab records and data logs.
Support training of farm staff on biosecurity and health monitoring
