We are looking for skilled Junior Engineer for CNC machine operations in its Production–Roll Shop Department. The role involves operating CNC roll turning, roll notching, and guide roll turning lathe machines to prepare rolls according to technical specifications and production requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor CNC Roll Turning, Roll Notching, and Guide Roll Turning Machines as per technical specifications to ensure accurate machining and finishing of rebar mill rolls.
Load, secure, and set up steel rolls by selecting appropriate cutting tools, inserts, fixtures, and pre-programmed CNC operations to ensure stable positioning and machining accuracy.
Perform roughing, semi-finishing, finishing, and notching operations while maintaining required dimensions, roll profiles, geometry, and surface finish.
Read and interpret mechanical drawings using AutoCAD and adjust machining parameters according to material, tooling, and required tolerances to ensure compliance with machining specifications.
Inspect finished rolls using precision measuring instruments such as micrometres and callipers, document results, and report defects or deviations to verify dimensional accuracy and support timely corrective action.
Monitor tool condition, perform tool changes, and carry out routine machine maintenance, including lubrication, cleaning, and alignment checks, to maintain machining quality and minimize equipment downtime.
Follow safety procedures, maintain proper housekeeping and accurate machining records, and coordinate with engineering and roll-shop teams to ensure safe operations, job traceability, and timely delivery of machined rolls.
