Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelors or master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. Advanced technical certifications are a plus.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 1 to 2 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Implement integrations of supportive internal monitoring tools/system
∎ Deploy updates and fixes.
∎ Provide Level 2 technical support.
∎ Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve internal system monitoring experience.
∎ Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems.
∎ Perform root cause analysis for production errors.
∎ Investigate and resolve technical issues.
∎ Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.
∎ Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting.
∎ Build and maintain highly available production systems.
∎ Co-operate with other teams. Actively encourage strong working relationships with other teams.
Additional Requirements:
∎ A minimum of 1-2 years' experience in a Dev-Ops Engineer or similar role
∎ Dev-Ops engineers should have the following abilities:
∎ A Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
∎ The prior experience as a DevOps engineer.
∎ A solid understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
∎ Strong knowledge of systems and platform security.
∎ A good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
∎ An understanding of the best security practices and automating security testing and updating in the CI/CD (continuous integration, continuous deployment) pipelines
∎ An ability to conveniently deploy monitoring and logging infrastructure using tools like Prometheus, Nagios, and Datadog
∎ An understanding of various operating systems, especially Linux, as most public clouds operate on Linux or Unix systems.
∎ Strongly self-motivated, willing to overcome challenging problems and identifying new opportunities for process improvement.
∎ Strong technical and analytical skills.
∎ Solid experience in problem analysis and resolution of hardware/software problems.
∎ Proven ability to function in a self-directed environment.
∎ Innovative thinker who is positive, proactive, and readily embraces change.
∎ Maintain senior-level knowledge across all enterprise system-monitoring tools.
∎ Proactively grow the monitoring environment to produce more specific, early warning monitoring.
