• Experience: 1 to 3 years but 1+ year’s relevant experience or significant internship
• Familiarity with Linux (Debian/Fedora) administration and scripting (e.g., Python, Bash).
• Familiarity with scripting languages like Python or PowerShell.
• Understanding of networking concepts: DNS, VPN, SSL, firewalls, and subnets.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for learning.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Exposure to DevOps tools and practices.
• Certification like RHCSA, RHCE, or System level proven working experience.
• Hands-on experience or interest in Linux administration and open-source tools.

Job Context & Role:

This role is ideal for someone passionate about R&D, eager to work with Linux, and excited to explore open-source tools like OpenStack, Ceph, Devops, Kubernetes etc. As a Junior Cloud Engineer of Meghna Cloud a project of GenNext Technologies you will collaborate closely with experienced team members. Your main focus will be to comprehend and implement cloud solutions effectively. You'll assist in designing, deploying, and maintaining cloud infrastructure, ensuring its reliability and security.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design, deployment, and management of cloud infrastructure, primarily focusing on private clouds (OpenStack, Ceph) and hybrid cloud solutions.

• Support the configuration and management of cloud services, ensuring scalability, availability, and security.

• Collaborate with senior engineers to develop and implement cloud strategies.

• Monitor and optimize cloud resources to enhance performance and cost-efficiency.

• Continuously monitor and optimize cloud resources.

• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving cloud-related issues.

• Participate in the evaluation and adoption of emerging cloud technologies.

• Ensure compliance with security and data protection policies.

• Manage solutions encompassing operational administration, system/data backup, disaster recovery, and security/performance monitoring.

• Troubleshoot and resolve cloud and infrastructure issues.

• Assist with data center operations, including server installation, maintenance, and inventory management.

• Understanding of various DevOps integration tools.

• Contribute to 24/7 roster-based cloud operation support.

• Develop skills in Private cloud, storage, and other open-source technologies.

• Ready to learn & work under pressure as per assigned tasks by the line supervisor.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with development and operations teams to optimize the performance of cloud environments.

• Work on scaling cloud infrastructure to meet evolving business needs.

• Contribute to R&D on new cloud technologies and open-source tools for cloud management.

• Assist in maintaining and enhancing cloud monitoring and logging systems.

Shift Details:

• Rotational shifts covering 24/7 operations, including weekends and nights.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Fresher or diploma holders with a keen interest in cloud technologies are welcome to apply.

• Understanding of basic cloud concepts and infrastructure management.

• Experience or interest in working with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or OpenStack will be considered a plus.

• Experience or interest in cloud security practices will be a bonus.
