∎ JAVA & AWS SDET INTERN Job Responsibilities:
∎ 1. Test Automation Development:
∎ - Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java and test frameworks like Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit.
∎ - Build and enhance test automation frameworks for web applications, APIs, and cloud-based services.
∎ - Write reusable code and libraries for future use in automation.
∎ 2. Cloud Integration Testing:
∎ - Design and implement test strategies for cloud-based solutions, primarily on AWS.
∎ - Automate the testing of cloud-native applications, including services like AWS Lambda, EC2, S3, and RDS.
∎ - Validate infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform through automated tests.
∎ 3. Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD):
∎ - Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline.
∎ - Work closely with DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration of automation tests into deployment workflows.
∎ - Monitor and maintain test automation scripts in CI environments to ensure stability and reliability.
∎ 4. Performance and Load Testing:
∎ - Conduct performance testing of cloud-hosted applications using tools like JMeter, Gatling, or AWS Load Testing services.
∎ - Analyze performance test results to identify bottlenecks and provide recommendations for optimization.
∎ 5. API Testing:
∎ - Design and implement automated API tests using REST Assured, Postman, or similar tools.
∎ - Validate data integration between services and verify API functionality, reliability, and security.
∎ 6. Cloud Security Testing:
∎ - Collaborate with security teams to validate the security of cloud deployments.
∎ - Automate security scans and penetration testing for AWS services and configurations.
∎ 7. Monitoring & Reporting:
∎ - Develop monitoring tools for test automation frameworks and automated test execution results.
∎ - Generate detailed test reports, metrics, and dashboards to track automation coverage and quality trends.
∎ 8. Collaboration & Agile Practices:
∎ - Work closely with development, DevOps, and QA teams following Agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.
∎ - Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings, providing insights into automation efforts.
∎ 9. Mentoring & Training:
∎ - Mentor junior team members in test automation best practices, coding standards, and cloud testing strategies.
∎ - Conduct training sessions on automation frameworks, tools, and cloud-native testing approaches.
∎ 10. Troubleshooting & Debugging:
∎ - Investigate and troubleshoot issues with automated test failures, ensuring quick resolution.
∎ - Debug Java code and AWS configurations to pinpoint and resolve automation issues.
∎ The role combines Java programming skills with AWS expertise, focusing on cloud-native test automation and seamless integration into the software development lifecycle.
