Responsibilities & Context:

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Systems & Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain enterprise IT infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments. The role focuses on ensuring high availability, security, and performance of systems supporting large-scale retail and corporate operations.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in networking, security, virtualization, and Microsoft/Linux ecosystems, with hands-on experience in L2/L3 support and enterprise infrastructure management.

Job Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments (Azure/AWS)

• Ensure high availability and business continuity for IT services across retail stores and corporate offices

• Provide L2/L3 support and troubleshoot complex system, network, and security issues

• Manage and configure enterprise network devices including switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers

• Administer and maintain virtualization environments (VMware vCenter/ESXi)

• Manage Active Directory services (DNS, DHCP, GPO, ADFS, WSUS, Certificate Services)

• Monitor and maintain system performance, backup, and disaster recovery solutions

• Implement and maintain IT security standards, including antivirus, firewall, and patch management

• Manage cloud services (Microsoft Azure / Office 365) and hybrid infrastructure

• Configure and maintain enterprise WiFi solutions (Aruba, Meraki)

• Administer backup solutions (Commvault) and storage systems (NetApp/Hitachi)

• Manage enterprise email systems (Microsoft Exchange, archiving solutions)

• Automate routine tasks using scripting (PowerShell, Bash)

• Maintain system and network documentation, diagrams, and procedures

• Follow ITIL best practices for incident, change, and problem management

• Coordinate with vendors, ISPs, and external service providers

• Provide after-hours support when required for critical operations and upgrades

• Mentor junior IT team members and support knowledge sharing initiatives

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field

• Relevant certifications (CCNA, MCSE, VMware, Azure, ITIL) will be an advantage

Experience Requirements

• 3 to 6 years of experience in IT Infrastructure / Network / Systems Engineering

• Experience in enterprise or retail IT environment will be preferred
