Responsibilities & Context:

Key Responsibilities

IT Infrastructure Management

  • Install, configure, and maintain computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and network devices.

  • Monitor servers, internet connectivity, and Wi-Fi performance.

  • Ensure uninterrupted IT services across all departments.

  • Maintain office hardware and software inventory.

Website Management

  • Maintain the OTA website and booking platform.

  • Monitor website performance, uptime, and security.

  • Update website content, banners, and travel products when required.

  • Coordinate with developers to resolve technical issues.

  • Optimize website speed and user experience.

Booking System & GDS Support

  • Maintain online booking engines and reservation systems.

  • Support GDS platforms such as Amadeus, Sabre, Galileo, and Travelport.

  • Troubleshoot ticketing and reservation system issues.

  • Ensure API integrations are functioning correctly.

User Support (Help Desk)

  • Provide technical support to employees.

  • Resolve hardware, software, email, and printer issues.

  • Install and update operating systems and business applications.

  • Manage user accounts and access permissions.

Network Administration

  • Configure and maintain LAN, WAN, routers, switches, and firewalls.

  • Monitor network security and internet usage.

  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues.

  • Ensure reliable VPN access for remote users if applicable.

  • Cybersecurity

  • Protect company systems from malware, ransomware, and cyber threats.

  • Install and maintain antivirus and endpoint security solutions.

  • Implement firewall and access control policies.

  • Conduct regular security updates and vulnerability checks.

  • Monitor suspicious login attempts and system activities.

Data Backup & Recovery

  • Perform scheduled backups of company databases and files.

  • Test backup restoration procedures.

  • Develop disaster recovery plans.

  • Ensure critical business data is protected.

Software & System Administration

  • Manage CRM, ERP, HR, accounting, and booking software.

  • Coordinate software upgrades and license renewals.

  • Test new applications before deployment.

  • Ensure software compliance and licensing.

Email & Cloud Services

  • Manage business email accounts.

  • Administer Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.

  • Configure email security and spam protection.

  • Maintain cloud storage and collaboration tools.

API & Integration Support

  • Monitor integrations with:

o Flight booking APIs

o Hotel APIs

o Payment gateways

o SMS gateways

o Email services

o CRM systems

  • Coordinate with vendors to resolve integration issues.

IT Asset Management

  • Maintain records of IT assets.

  • Track warranty and maintenance schedules.

  • Recommend replacement or upgrades of obsolete equipment.

  • Ensure proper allocation of devices to employees.

Documentation

  • Maintain IT policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Document network diagrams, system configurations, and passwords (securely).

  • Keep records of incidents and resolutions.

Technology Planning

  • Recommend new technologies to improve operations.

  • Evaluate software and hardware requirements.

  • Support digital transformation initiatives.

  • Assist management with IT budgeting and planning.

Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with software licensing requirements.

  • Implement data privacy and information security policies.

  • Follow company IT governance standards.

  • Support internal and external IT audits.

Staff Training

  • Train employees on:

o Cybersecurity awareness

o Safe internet and email practices

o Company software and booking systems

o Basic troubleshooting

  • Prepare user guides and training materials.
