Responsibilities & Context:
Job Summary:
The Canadian University of Bangladesh is seeking a dedicated and technically skilled IT Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive IT support, maintaining the university’s IT infrastructure and ensuring smooth operation of all hardware, software and network systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide general IT support for faculties, staff and classrooms.
• Troubleshoot and repair PCs, laptops and printers.
• Install and configure network devices and ensure Wi-Fi/LAN connectivity.
• Monitor and maintain CCTV cameras and manage footage backups.
• Support installation and maintenance of software and operating systems.
• Perform routine checks and maintenance of IT equipment.
Qualifications:
• Education: Diploma in CSE/EEE or B.Sc. in CSE/EEE or related field.
• Experience: Minimum 6 months of experience in a corporate environment in IT support, hardware or network maintenance.
• Technical Skills:
o Experience with Operating System, Office software installation and hardware troubleshooting.
o Good understanding of LAN/WAN, IP configuration,cabling and network troubleshooting.
o Basic knowledge of data backup and recovery processes.
• Soft Skills:
o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
o Strong problem-solving abilities and time management skills.
o Must be a gentleman with polite behavior, good manners and a positive attitude.
