Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Oversee and strengthen existing computer systems and set up new programs as needed.
∎ Take necessary steps to solve computer-related problems such as hardware, software, and networking issues, including repair and replacement.
∎ Build and monitor local area networks, troubleshooting network difficulties as they arise.
∎ Take necessary steps to connect computers to the internet and ensure compliance with organizational rules and guidelines.
∎ Assist and advise the Purchase department in procuring computer equipment and accessories.
∎ Provide technical support to staff to enhance their computer proficiency.
∎ Prepare, update, and distribute literature, handbooks, and manuals to users regarding computer use and recent developments in related software and applications.
∎ Attend relevant meetings, workshops, and seminars and keep management informed.
∎ Take necessary action to resolve any issues with the telecommunication system (PABX, Internet, etc.).
∎ Monitor and troubleshoot equipment such as photocopiers, CCTV cameras, and other equipment.
∎ Ensure smooth and user-friendly internet facilities and IT support for guests, especially during events/functions.
∎ Coordinate with other CSS projects regarding any IT needs or requirements.
∎ Carry out any other IT or particular tasks assigned by higher authorities.
∎ CSS Education Sector comprises a community-based sponsorship program, leadership training program, technical and polytechnic institutes, job and business services, and a high school.
∎ We are seeking an experienced IT Officer responsible for planning, implementing, facilitating, and coordinating IT support activities in the Education Sector. This includes overseeing the proper management and functioning of computer hardware, software, networking, phone/internet systems, photocopiers, multimedia equipment, printers, etc.
