Responsibilities & Context:
We are seeking a motivated IT Intern to support our clinic’s IT operations and gain hands-on experience in managing IT systems in a healthcare setting.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in IT operations within a healthcare setting. The IT Officer Intern will work closely with experienced IT professionals to support the clinic’s technology needs, ensuring efficient and secure systems that enhance patient care and staff productivity. The role is designed to provide mentorship and hands-on learning for individuals looking to start a career in IT.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing and maintaining IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and workstations, under the supervision of senior IT staff.
- Support the maintenance and updating of IT asset registers to ensure accurate tracking of hardware and related assets.
- Provide basic technical support and troubleshooting for hardware, software, and network issues, escalating complex issues to senior team members.
- Assist in resolving office networking issues, including monitoring and maintaining network connectivity with guidance.
- Coordinate with vendors for IT equipment procurement and maintenance, as directed.
- Support staff training on the use of IT systems and software applications.
- Monitor system performance and assist in documenting observations for upgrades or improvements.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of IT policies and procedures under guidance.
