We are looking for professional and customer-focused Inbound Sales Agents to handle incoming sales enquiries on behalf of a UK-based retail business. The primary responsibility of this role is to answer inbound calls, engage potential customers, provide product information, identify sales opportunities, and convert enquiries into orders while delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Agents will serve as an extension of the client's internal sales team, ensuring all calls are handled efficiently, professionally, and in accordance with the client's sales processes and service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Inbound Sales & Customer Engagement
Answer inbound sales calls promptly and professionally.
Engage with customers to understand their requirements and recommend suitable products or solutions.
Handle product enquiries, pricing questions, availability checks, and order-related discussions.
Guide customers through the purchasing process and maximize conversion opportunities.
Upsell and cross-sell relevant products where appropriate.
Build rapport with customers and maintain a positive brand experience.
Lead & Order Management
Accurately capture customer details and order information.
Enter customer data, call notes, and order details into designated systems.
Qualify sales enquiries according to predefined criteria.
Escalate complex enquiries or special requests to the appropriate internal team when necessary.
Follow established call handling procedures and sales scripts.
Customer Service Support
Address customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
Resolve basic customer issues and provide accurate information.
Maintain a high standard of customer satisfaction on every interaction.
Ensure all communications reflect the client's brand values and professionalism.
Reporting & Documentation
Maintain accurate call logs and interaction records.
Submit daily and weekly activity reports as required.
Track sales outcomes, customer feedback, and follow-up actions.
Adhere to quality assurance and compliance standards.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in inbound sales, customer service, call center operations, or telesales.
Experience handling UK, US, Australian, or other international customers is preferred.
Previous experience in retail, e-commerce, or order processing environments is an advantage.
Communication Skills
Excellent spoken and written English.
Neutral and clear telephone communication skills.
Strong listening and objection-handling abilities.
Ability to build trust and rapport quickly over the phone.
Technical Skills
Comfortable using CRM systems, order management platforms, and web-based applications.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Ability to accurately document customer interactions while managing live calls.
