Responsibilities & Context:
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Intern - Service to join our dynamic Food & Beverage team. This internship offers a unique, hands-on opportunity to gain a comprehensive understanding of Lifestyle Service and the end-to-end business processes within the Hospitality Industry, specifically focusing on our Restaurant, Bar, and Café operations. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced teams, contributing to high-quality guest experiences while developing a foundational knowledge of F&B management.
Job Responsibility:
The Intern will rotate through various service areas, including the Restaurant, Bar, and Café, to support daily operations and learn key aspects of the service cycle. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Guest Service Excellence
- Assisting service staff with seating guests, taking orders accurately, and serving food and beverages in a timely and professional manner.
- Learning and applying our Lifestyle Service standards to anticipate guest needs and ensure a personalized, memorable dining experience.
- Handling guest inquiries, complaints, and feedback with maturity and escalating complex issues to the supervisor.
Operational Support:
- Assisting in the opening and closing procedures for all F&B outlets, including setting up and breaking down dining areas.
- Learning Point-of-Sale (POS) system operations, including order entry, billing, and cash handling procedures.
- Monitoring inventory levels for service supplies (e.g., cutlery, glassware, napkins) and assisting with stock replenishment.
- Ensuring the cleanliness and hygiene of all service areas, adhering to strict health and safety protocols.
Business Process & Compliance:
- Shadowing supervisors and managers to understand scheduling, cost control, and revenue management in an F&B context.
- Learning about menu engineering, daily specials communication, and the cross-departmental communication necessary for seamless service.
- Participating in pre-shift briefings to understand the day's focus, VIP requirements, and operational goals.
