Responsibilities & Context:
The position requires a strong understanding of the unique HR requirements of a resort environment, including 24/7 operations, shift-based manpower, seasonal workforce requirements, peak-season staffing, staff accommodation, meals, transportation, and high employee turnover management. We are seeking a strategic, people-focused, and hospitality-driven HR Manager to lead the Human Resources function of our Resort and build a high-performing workforce capable of delivering exceptional guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the overall HR and personnel functions of the Resort in accordance with management policies and applicable laws and regulations.
Coordinate with department heads to identify manpower requirements and ensure timely recruitment and deployment of suitable employees.
Manage end-to-end recruitment activities, including job descriptions, vacancy announcements, candidate screening, interviews, reference checks, selection, appointment, and onboarding.
Maintain an effective recruitment pipeline for key resort positions, particularly during peak seasons and periods of increased occupancy.
Ensure all employees receive appropriate information regarding resort policies, service standards, code of conduct, safety requirements, benefits, and job responsibilities.
Monitor and maintain employee attendance, punctuality, leave, overtime, shift schedules, absenteeism, and workforce deployment in coordination with respective department heads.
Coordinate with Accounts/Finance for monthly payroll preparation, salary-related information, overtime, allowances, deductions, and other employee benefits.
Work closely with Housekeeping, Security, Administration, and other departments to maintain appropriate standards in employee facilities and staff areas.
Develop and monitor HR budgets, manpower costs, employee welfare expenses, recruitment costs, training expenses, and other HR-related expenditures.
Ensure compliance with the Bangladesh Labour Act, applicable labor rules, employment regulations, and relevant statutory requirements.
Maintain strict confidentiality of employee information and sensitive HR matters.
Prepare and submit regular HR reports, including manpower status, recruitment, turnover, attendance, leave, training, disciplinary matters, employee welfare, and other HR metrics.
Perform any other HR-related duties and responsibilities assigned by Management from time to time.
Additional Requirements
Minimum 8–10 years of progressive HR experience, preferably with 3–5 years in a managerial HR leadership role within the Hotel or Resort.
Proven experience in resort, hotel, luxury property, beach resort, eco-resort, destination resort, serviced residence, or comparable hospitality operations is strongly preferred.
Strong practical understanding of the workforce requirements of Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Kitchen, Engineering, Security, Recreation, Sales & Marketing, Transport, and other resort functions.
Strong knowledge of Bangladesh Labour Act, Labour Rules, employment practices, statutory compliance, and workplace regulations.

Proven ability to build strong working relationships with senior management and Department Heads while maintaining fairness and confidentiality when dealing with employees.
Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, particularly MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and email.
Experience with HRIS/HRMS, payroll systems, biometric attendance systems, employee databases, or digital HR platforms will be an advantage.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Bangla.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, guest-driven, 24/7 resort environment.
Willingness to work beyond regular office hours, including weekends, public holidays, peak seasons, and special events, whenever operationally required.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential HR matters with sound judgment and complete professionalism.
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Management, Industrial Relations, Hospitality Management, or a related discipline.
Professional HR qualification, certification, or specialized training in HR Management, Labour Law, Hospitality HR, Employee Relations, or Organizational Development will be an added advantage.
