Educational Requirements:
∎ Masters degree in any discipline
∎ B.Sc in Textile/ Masters in Chemistry or any other Certificate equivalent to the Degree Or Less with exceptional Skill, Competence and Experience Of Successful running a manufacturing Plant, Experience not less than 14 (Years)
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 20 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ To deliver garments with both quality and aesthetics as per customer approved garment standards and secure the management with confident and stable production and development team.
∎ DEVELOPMENT RELATED:
∎ Heads the development team, including managing all personnel
∎ Provides process and recipe guide to all new wash developments and in between wash sampling requirements.
∎ To mentor the development team on better process, handling and systems resulting to day-by-day improvement in the department.
∎ Costing of development recipe
∎ PRODUCTION RELATED:
∎ Run production as per provided wash planning for the day and month.
∎ Manages the full production team in conjunction with the staff and supervisor level.
∎ Implements system & procedures to ensure bulk is achieved same as approved development standard.
∎ Ensure 100% machine utilization at all times, high efficiency for full production plant with consistent and high quality results.
∎ Initiate start of 1st bulk run through the development team.
∎ Calls for a PP meeting for all incoming styles for 1st bulk wash review.
∎ Signs-off correct recipe to be followed in production after recipe is set either from 1st bulk or succeeding bulk.
∎ Works hand-in-hand with the quality team to view production quality and wash outcome and instructs further procedures, whatever required.
∎ Managing the chemical cost reduction in the bulk production the best way possible.
∎ Build system with the help of Line Supervisors both Wet and Dry Dept in worker skills training programs.
∎ Prior to any 1st bulk run of each style esp. Denim, ensure that proper briefing, training and u/standing is imparted to the worker team and line supervisors who will carry out the application of chemicals and techniques of dry process.
∎ Together with the Quality Team (initiator), involves in the decision process of which garments to send to the buyer for 1st Bulk Wash approval.
∎ Costing of production recipe.
∎ Coordinate with Operations GM for all production related support material, equipment and manpower requirements.
∎ Ensure bulk produced garments are within approved tolerance of the buyer but majority falling within the original approved standard.
Additional Requirements:
∎ For proposal of change of existing chemical, NEED to justify through proofs of actual visual and feel benefit, as well as, cost benefit prior to any change. Report to the Heads.
∎ For application of new chemical, need approval of Heads and benefit study prior to any usage and order?
∎ Present to the Heads solutions together with problems occurring in wash plant related to area of responsibility (advance approach to consequences).
∎ Involve in the inputs in case of company?s project for expansion and further required activities within the washing plant.
∎ Deals with buyers for technical matters if required.
∎ Provide inputs of preventive measures on machineries and systems currently in place.
∎ For wash plant value added service, works directly with the Plant Heads for new collection wash ideas in line with trends.

∎ Creative inputs on new wash ideas which are lined with trends and customer expectations.
∎ Advance and mature technical approach to wash plant day-to-day situation.
∎ Financial
∎ Cost saving measures in terms of chemical usage, manpower and wash recipe formulation on actual production run. Higher productivity and less rewash percentage.
∎ PERSON SPECIFICATION:
∎ Mature attitude and open-minded approach to the problems and issues in the wash plant.
∎ Passion for the product w/c means high interest on the field of wash creation and innovation.
∎ Good planning and execution ability.
∎ Years of Technical experience combined with the understanding of the buyer?s language.
∎ Good managerial and communication skills to motivate supervisors below the level personnel.
∎ Ability to relate to the needs of the workers and good inter-office and floor relationship.
